Homemade Crackers or Biscuits
Crackers or some call biscuits were made from some leftover scrapes of pastry used for making apple pie bars earlier this week.
To make them gather the scrapes and reincorporate them to reroll out to about a quarter inch thick; then use a cookie cutter of 1 7/8 inch or 48 mm to cut out into crackers to place on an ungreased cookie sheet. An optional choice is to put about a teaspoon of sugar in a dish along with about 1/8 or a pinch of salt and mix them together to sprinkle on crackers prior to baking in a preheated oven of 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve as you like with peanut butter, jam, cheeses etc.
In these photos they are being served with boil eggs turned into devil eggs.
The crafts utilized here are baking and cooking in transforming the original plan of the baking from pastry to crackers and boil egg to a delicious devil eggs with the yoke being removed and mayonnaise, mustard and pickles being added to spoon into the white to make devils eggs.
Crafty creative baking and cooking.
